Based in Tokyo, Jeremy Smart is a creative director, brand strategist and editorial consultant, delivering projects for a global roster of clients including Muji, Aesop, Louis Vuitton and Rosewood Hotels, through his role as creative director of Design Anthology and its parent company Fifth Black. He is also the founder of Aerostorie.

Having previously been based in Hong Kong and Melbourne, Smart brings an international perspective and more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of media, design and commerce to firms seeking to better tell their story to the culturally-minded audiences that matter.

Smart is a commentator on design, travel and urbanism, writing for the likes of Nikkei Asia and The Sydney Morning Herald, while also producing photojournalism for Nikkei Asia, The Guardian and Al Jazeera. He’s been cited in the Financial Times and speaks and moderates at conferences, summits and events.
